The wire hungry

You gotta keep the devil way down in the hole.
Bravo Gatiss.

Poker Face

In Airstrip One the telly is watching you.

"...Uhh, Mark? Seriously?"

The Idiot's Lantern is the seventh episode of Series 2.

The Doctor saves Coronation Street from The Wire by taping it over with Eastenders.

It's about the history of television, I guess.

There's this cunt called Eddie Connolly who's an over the top abusive dad. In an episode all about how cool old TV is, Eddie's presence is a downer because he's always one second away from beating his son and wife. And by the end of the episode, the Doctor and Rose tell his son to forgive him! Forgive the man who made his life a living hell and almost ruined the entire neighborhood. Maybe Gatiss wanted him to be this morally ambiguous guy, but he's such a hammy cunt that you're wondering why Ten's focusing on The Wire instead of this asshole.

Reception Edit

Its a Mark Gatiss episode. It's mediocre and not really worth watching. Albeit very comfy.

Behind the ScenesEdit

Could you tell it was written for Eccleston?

Magpie Electricals is introduced in this episode, and would go on to become the sole provider of all electronic items for the rest of time.

Quotes Edit

DOCTOR: In the street. They left her in the street. They took her face and just chucked her out and left her in the street. And as a result, that makes things simple. Very, very simple. Do you know why?
DOCTOR: Because now, Detective Inspector Bishop, there is no power on this Earth that can stop me. Come on!
